Dr. Lance’s Morning Breakfast Smoothie

Starting the day with some live food is always a great thing.  The following recipe is just what I do.  You are welcome to modify it as you see fit.  I like the carbohydrates so I enjoy adding the sweet fruits and juices.  The real stars of the show are the spinach, apple, carrots and blueberries as well as the 2 powders.  Everything else is optional.  Also, sometimes I add other vegetables when available – red, yellow or orange bell peppers, broccoli, celery, deseeded jalapeno.  The more live foods the better!

This is the order I put them into my cheap Oster blender (the harder things not on the bottom so it gets blending before it hits the chunks).

  • 1 small banana
  • 1 handful fresh spinach
  • 1 small apple (cut into chunks for ease of blending)
  • 6-12 baby carrots
  • 1 teaspoon Green Superfood (use less than the scoop supplied)
  • 1-3 teaspoons Vega One (use less than the scoop supplied)
  • 1 small handful blueberries (rehydrated or fresh)
  • 1 small handful cranberries (rehydrated)
  • Splash to ¼ cup of Pom Juice (pomegranate juice)
  • ¼ to 1 cup Naked Juice (Blue Machine or Green Machine)

Notes:

I get dehydrated blueberries and cranberries from Costco as well as the spinach and carrots…and the juices.  The powders I get from www.LuckyVitamin.com.
